Jeff Inman joined the faculty of the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh in 2000 and in 2008 assumed the position of Associate Dean of Research and Faculty. He is Past-President of the Association for Consumer Research and an academic trustee at the Marketing Science Institute. His research focuses on shopper and consumer decision-making. He is on the editorial board of the leading marketing journals, including the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of Marketing, Marketing Science, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and the Journal of Retailing. He is also an associate editor at JMR and JM. He has taught classes in marketing research, advanced research methods, scanner data, and marketing management. He recently developed a new course on shopper analytics. Jeff received his BS degree in mechanical engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University), his MBA from Indiana University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas. His work has appeared in the many of the most prestigious business journals, including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, and California Management Review.
