TONY DOUGLAS, DBA

‚ÄčTony Douglas is the Director, Edinburgh Institute, and a coach and mentor in the areas of sales and marketing, international strategy, business development, and entrepreneurship. As Edinburgh Institute (SALES) Director and International Programme at Edinburgh Napier University, he delivers workshops to business executives on selling, enterprise and strategy in The United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore.

He has held a number of senior positions within the FMCG sector over a 25 + year period including management and buyer roles within Tesco PLC and Boots the Chemist, and as Sales and Marketing Director of the highly profitable Kinnerton Company Ltd. Tony completed his DBA at Edinburgh Napier University. His research area was an investigation into the sales process in SMEs. He has published in IGI Global, ICSB Journal and Sales Initiative. He assists Youth Business Scotland, and is Chair of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (Scotland), and representative for Scotland for the Global Sales and Science Institute.
